Downton Abbey at 2013 SAG

Recap of the 2013 SAG Awards with GIFs!

I love the Screen Actors Guild awards. It’s short, and it’s fun because it’s just actors messing around with other actors. Since there are only five categories that I predicted for this post (as I wasn’t even trying to guess the mess that is television), I’ve decided to include a few extra GIFs from the SAGs to keep you entertained and let you see who else won.

Tina Fey won Female Actor in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock, which made me so happy. Even though it’s possible she may have won out of pity, what with this being 30 Rock‘s final season.

Speaking of The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons had a hilarious losing face as Alec Baldwin nabbed the Male Actor in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock. It’s okay, Sheldon.

Unsurprisingly, Modern Family takes Ensemble in a Comedy Series. We also found out that Giuliana Rancic has clearly never seen (nor eaten) an Oreo in her life.

Claire Danes won Female Actor in a Drama Series for Homeland. And shared an awkward kiss with her co-star, Damian Lewis, who is not her husband. Let the gossip begin!

Notable badass Bryan Cranston took home Male Actor in a Drama Series for Breaking Bad. Because nobody f***s with Bryan Cranston and lives to win a SAG award.

And Downton Abbey upset Homeland and Breaking Bad to win Ensemble for a Drama Series! Also, how cute is Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley)? I want to be best friends with her.

Now, as you may recall from my prediction post, I made my selections for who I thought would win in the film categories with my first guesses in orange and my second guesses in green. For this post, I’ve ranked my guesses with either 1) Nailed It, 2) Missed It By That Much, or 3) Well, Shit. Let’s take a quick look at how I did with some GIFs I found to represent each category.

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture = NAILED IT.

  • Argo
  • The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
  • Les Misérables
  • Lincoln
  • Silver Linings Playbook

Yeah, he wasn’t at the SAGs, so I had to use his grumpy GIF from the Golden Globes.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role = NAILED IT.

  • Sally Field, Lincoln
  • Anne Hathaway, Les Misérables
  • Helen Hunt, The Sessions

  • NAILED IT: 4
  • WELL, SHIT: 1

How did you do in your predictions? What were some of your favorite moments from this year’s Globes? Discuss in the comments below! I’d love to hear what you think!
